Clicking hyperlinks, a poem

I clicked upon a hyperlink,
and then I clicked another,
and opened up so many tabs
to read, I didn't bother.

But as I closed the unread tabs,
each uningested page,
my eye was caught by one of them
about the Iron Age.

The Iron Age had no websites,
no hyperlinks— just metal.
They spent their days on smelting ore,
and husbandry of cattle.
